Children should be centered under their parents when possible

    Details

      Description

Automatic layout sometimes shifts the position of children instead of placing them centered under the parents (like the standard recommends), in an attempt to "pack" the pedigree and make it less wide. This generates unaesthetic corners in the parent-child connection and makes the pedigree look convoluted and difficult to follow. It is preferred to place children centered under their parents to make the pedigree more readable.
