      Description

PhenoTips pedigree editor would highly benefit having the following features available:

      • ability to create children with only one parent,
      • ability to add siblings without creating a missing parents nodes,
      • add miscarriage and abortion as option when creating children nodes,
      • ability to rearrange nodes (most important: siblings, but also any nodes, at least on the same generation),
      • auto-arrange should not change the order of siblings (even if age is not specified),
      • the whole line connecting parent(s) and adopted child should be dashed
      • ability to create multiple children,
      • ability to convert N-nodes to single nodes,
      • ability to add children or group of children to N-nodes (note: will only work nicely once we have children with single parents),
      • ability to mark pedigree node as alive/A&W/dead, age of death & cause of death,
      • ability to mark unknown parents/ancestry (up handle with a question mark)
      • egg-donor, sperm donnor and surrogate parent nodes,
      • optional mode for "4-sector" highlighting,
      • ability to adjust space between nodes,
      • children should be centered under their parents when possible,
      • remove non-functional parent handles,
      • ability to import from CSV and other pedigree tools commonly used by physicians.
